Andhra Chepala Pulusu - Fish Curry Recipe

Andhra Chepala Pulusu is a simple recipe. It prepares in home made simple masalas and soaked tamarind juice, spicy masalas. It gives an extraordinary taste in the next day. Everyone enjoyed this is fish curry taste and also Fish gives us A- vitamin a lot. So, all of our food lovers try to eat fish variants every week. 

Let’s go how to prepare fish curry recipe step by step.

Required Ingredients: 

  • Fish pieces – ½ kg
  • Green chillies – 6 (slit)
  • Coconut – ½
  • Onions – 3 finely chopped
  • Ginger – small piece
  • Garlic shoots – 12  
  • Coriander leaves – 1 cup
  • Curry leaves – 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric – ½ tbsp
  • Oil – 4 tbsps
  • Tamarind – soaked
  • Tomatoes – 2
  • Green Cardamom – 2
  • Cloves – 6
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon stick – ½ inch
  • Poppy seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander seeds – 1 tbsp

Preparation of Chepala Pulusu (Fish Curry)

  • First, Prepare garam masala paste and keep it away.

  • Add garlic shoots, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, green cardamom and poppy seeds in a mixer jar, grind these ingredients to a paste.
  • Six Boiled and peel off tomatoes to prepare tomato puree.
  • (For preparation of tomato puree : Add tomatoes in a vessel with full of water equals to tomatoes level, covered a lid and boiled 5 minutes. Now you can remove easily peel of tomatoes. Transfer tomatoes into a mixer jar and grind like a paste.)
  • Heat oil in a Kadai, adds finely chopped onions and fry, till it turns into gold color. Add green chilis, turmeric powder, salt, red chili powder stir continuously. Add garam masala paste stir 3 minutes gently, till the oil separates.
  • Add tomato puree stir gently. Now add fish pieces and mix well. Add curry leaves and soaked tamarind water and mix gently. Cover a lid and cook 10 minutes on a medium flame. Fish Curry is ready…
